Bubo virginianus
Majestically perched on a branch, this great horned owl surveys its domain with hypnotic calm. This award-winner was carved from tupelo wood and completed in 2001.
This carving received an Honorable Mention at the 32nd Annual Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition (2002), in the category of Novice Decorative Miniature Wildfowl – Birds of Prey. It is in a private collection.
