The kestrel and mouse are of tupelo, the base is of exotic African hardwood(petsmarticus) and Herrmann cherry.

I just looked at the American Kestrel carving. I’t absolutely gorgeous!!. I would never have believed that anyone could carve anything so pretty from a block of wood. must be the old surgeon’s touch. You get better every year.
